Pre-1900 US Military Deployments to Dragoon and area
Dragoon was the waypoint for many travelers heading east or west. With water at Dragoon Springs and other local springs being available much of the traffic heading either direction utilized Dragoon Pass.
As we find documented military deployments to Dragoon, they will get posted here in an attempt to compile an exhaustive list of military activity in Dragoon.
The US Military Dragoons were the precursor to the US Calvary. Some Dragoons were initially stationed in Dragoon. Is that were Dragoon got its name?
